This past May, two members of the Sordoni Team had the opportunity to attend the 2018 Construction Owners Association of America’s (COAA) Owners Leadership Conference in Pittsburgh. COAA’s stated mission is to promote facility Owner leadership and continuous improvement in the planning, design, and construction process through education, collaboration and information exchange. Our Sordoni team members walked away from this event with confirmation that the execution of their mission was alive and well at this year’s conference.
Delivered in an interactive and collaborative format, the conference offered sessions that provided real-world context on the following topics:
Improving the selection process
Assessing team collaboration
Construction market / economic conditions
Often times we all find ourselves just receiving second-hand accounts or reading about progressive industry trends. At COAA, Owners, Architects, Engineers, Contractors and other industry professionals were provided the opportunity to engage in open discussions about real projects, and delve into the successes and challenges that were faced along the way. It ended up being highly engaging and enlightening.
