Meet Mike Balonis
Mike Balonis joined Sordoni in 1998 and just recently celebrated 20 years with the company. Originally hired by Senate Construction, (Sordoni’s sister company), he was brought on board as a field superintendent when Senate Construction closed its doors.
Mike aims to be the first person on the job site each morning and has an appreciation for the unique challenges of each job and the opportunity at Sordoni to learn and grow. Over the past year, Mike was part of the team that renovated and added a new addition to the Allied Services Hospice Center and is currently leading the team for the new addition and renovation of St. Gregory Church in Clarks Green.
3 Interesting Things you may not know about Mike
- If he could be anyone in the world for a day he would like to be a farmer.
- Mike’s favorite indoor activity is sitting down with a bucket of chicken wings and watching either NCIS or college football. His favorite outdoor activity is tending to his vegetable garden.
- If Mike was not a Superintendent with Sordoni, his second choice for a career would be a Firefighter. He volunteered with the Trucksville Fire Company in his youth and loved it!
When Mike was asked what was the most rewarding part of his job his response was “meeting new clients, taking pride in all that I do, and building new friendships”. Mike is well known for his belief in God, his willingness to help others, and, of course, his charming personality. When he’s not on the jobsite, Mike can be found volunteering at his church or lending a hand to one of our Sordoni Volunteer Program projects. We are very fortunate to have him as part of our team.
