Sordoni Construction Services was the CM at Risk for this delivery station tenant improvement project of an existing 207,500 SF, concrete tilt-up, single story warehouse building on a 16 acre site to be used for package distribution. The scope of the project included fit-out for new offices, package delivery sorting space, interior van parking, and all site improvements along with the construction of a new 40,000 SF steel structure canopy for van loading.
The project was originally scheduled to have permits on July 20, 2020, with a TCO date of October 21, 2020, and a launch date of November 10, 2020. The City of Philadelphia did not issue permits until September 11, 2020. Through the use of double shifts and weekends, Sordoni worked to reduce the original construction timeframe. The Certificate of Occupancy was received on February 22, 2021.
