Sordoni Construction was the Design-Builder for the new Tri-County Lumber & Truss Plant, located in the Columbia County Business Park. Work on the state-of-the-art plant began in August of 2022, on an 11-acre lot located in the business park. The plant is estimated to come in at 30,000 SF and will house equipment to automate 80% of the truss building process, allowing Tri-County to quadruple its output. The new system will computerize and speed up much of what was done manually. However, despite this automation, no reduction in their workforce is expected. This new location will also allow for easier access to I-80, making delivery to neighboring New York and New Jersey more convenient.
