Back in September, we told you about our engagement with FMI and our campaign focus of operational excellence. A lot has happened since that time – our long-time VP of Estimating, Dino Galli, retired, we brought on a new Chief Operating Officer & Corporate Counsel, Todd Rothermel, and we launched Sordoni 2020, our companywide initiative to operationalize the FMI recommendations.
Sordoni 2020 is comprised of 6 cross-functional teams, each with 5 to 6 team members who are focused on all aspects of our business ranging from communications & branding to project closeout. At a recent company meeting, each team was given the opportunity to present their goals for 2019 and discuss their next steps for implementing their solutions. The teams knocked it out of the park! Not only are they successfully working toward viable solutions, but they are generating a high level of employee engagement within all levels of the company. Every team member is contributing to the process and plays an instrumental role in helping their team develop unique solutions.
We continue to be excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Building a strong organization and culture is not an easy process but, through Sordoni 2020 and our ongoing commitment to our employees, we feel that we will continue to be well-positioned to support our clients in all of their construction projects as we continue on our journey toward operational excellence.
