We end this week with a great reason to smile! Brian Long, our superintendent at the Howard Gardner Multiple Intelligence “MI” Charter School renovation and addition project gave the 4th and 5th graders a lesson in construction. His presentation of the entire construction project included math, calculating square footage, and how the trades work. “We covered so many areas and the kids were so responsive. I never had so MANY questions. We talked about elevations and concrete measuring all the way down to establishing bench marks for layout, and how many trades are involved in the entire process and coordination. It was extremely gratifying to see and hear their questions and I cannot believe how fast and hour and a half went. I can’t wait to do it again!”
