Meet Lauri Derk, Project Engineer. “I was born into a construction family and my parents started their own GC company in the early 80s. From using blueprints as coloring books to working the reception desk once I was in high school, I learned a lot from my family and everyone in the company. There is no other industry quite like construction and I couldn’t picture myself doing anything else. So much has changed in the past few decades and I am glad to see so many women choose this career path to pave the way for future generations. The best part of working in construction is the people. We are a family and a team that work together to build greatness. Each project that is completed is another lasting monument to what we can achieve.”
